Elektrons - Get Up

Luke and Justin Unabomber are best known as residents of legendary Manchester club night, Electric Chair, famed for sets which combine hip-hop, soul, disco, house and everything in-between. Venturing into the studio as the Elektrons, Get Up serves as a taster for their Red Light Don't Stop album. Block-party style beats and brass stabs combine with Pete Simpson's soulful tribute to the Electric Chair, as Jurassic 5's Soup adds his rhyme skills. Single, album and instrumental versions are included, alongside a fidget house re-rub courtesy of Herve; the piano-led, Pete Simpson-sung Joy, a pleasant addition. [Colin Chapman]
