Clarke played to a jam-packed club full or raving punters who relished every minute of it

In the past UFreak has brought us a variety of high calibre acts in both of Scotland's prominent cities including the likes of Miss Kitten, Green Velvet and DJ Rush to name but a few. Dave Clarke has a well-deserved reputation as one of the most respected (and idiosyncratic) techno DJs in the world. On the night in question he played an extensive set with CD decks as his medium of choice. Purists among us may grumble at the fact Clarke chose to use a CD deck as a pose to the 'traditional' vinyl method, but at the end of the day isn't it the music that counts? Even so, Clarke played to a jam-packed club full or raving punters who relished every minute of it. Resident DJs Jay Steinveg, Laurie Duncan and Dave Kendal were also there in full swing, pounding out the best that techno has to offer. Although it's safe to say the night was an overall success you can't help but feel a little disappointed while you make your way to the exit and find yourself unable to pinpoint the exact reason why.
