Black Strobe - I'm A Man

Stripped to the bare essentials and given some electro oomph, creating a big ballsy rocker that will be the envy of most of these indie/electro upstarts.

Single title: I'm A Man
Artist: Black Strobe
Label: Playlouder / Beggars Banquet
For the record Black Strobe are now a rock band, rather than the dark house duo you may remember. Ivan Smagghe (the one with the good tunes) left, leaving Arnaud Rebotini (the big one with the 'tache) to take over on vocals, alongside some grungy mates. I'm a Man is the second single from the French four-piece's debut album Burn Your Own Church. A cover of an old Bo Diddley song, it has been stripped to the bare essentials and given some electro oomph, creating a big ballsy rocker that will be the envy of most of these indie/electro upstarts. For those who prefer the old Black Strobe there's also some decent remixes, including another eleven minute Audion adventure. [Peter Walker]
