10th birthday parties are traditionally defined by noise, mayhem and a hoard of screaming kids, and the Manga crew were in no mood to buck the trend for the Glasgow leg of this drum and bass milestone. Keeping the momentum of last month's Dieselboy show running, the Art School saw a capacity crowd rolling up for a night of relentless beats and scene-defining tracks. A combined assault on auditory capabilities came courtesy of both ex-LiveVEvil DJs Paul Reset and Morphy, and Manga residents GMac and DJ Kid. MCs Ghost and Feelman held it down lyrically on tracks from across the board, getting a rise from the incendiary crowd in anticipation of Andy C. Flying in off the back of his Australian tour, the 'executioner himself' dominated, taking inspiration from his travels and playing through Pendulum territory in a brutal, curfew-defying set that left his audience gasping for breath.
