One of the newest nights to hit Edinburgh is the new residency of two big names: Huggy, from Stereotype and XFM, and Craig Smith of Soul Heaven fame. Huggy has appeared in Ibiza, on Radio One, and played the capital's millennial Hogmanay. Craig's residency at Soul Heaven ensures he is no stranger to the Edinburgh crowds either. The two spinners are set to take weekly turns driving the good ship Yin-Yang through all manner of soulful grooves. They aim to supply a broad mix of electro and house vibes, and with the two of them playing separate nights, you know they will be out to impress. The say the more 'up front' stuff will be in effect, but they also have time to share some more soulful styles. These guys are not afraid of a vocal, and occasionally they take it deep. For their opening night, Yin-Yang secured DJ Michael Gray, famous for his singalong top ten classic, The Weekend, so keep your eyes peeled for more top-notch guests in the coming weeks. [James Blake]
