Synthesis is commonly understood to be an integration of two or more pre-existing elements which results in a new creation. November's instalment of fantastic new club night Volume! features a variety of players, including LuckyMe, Rustie and Fine Art, promising a fusion of the finest in grime, dubstep, funk, hip-hop and drum and bass. A magical mash-up of genres and styles, this exciting new night hopes to provide something fresh to the current Edinburgh scene, and by all accounts this looks set to be a unique, unforgettable evening. Check out our past feature on Rustie's mind-blowing Jagz the Smack EP, and this month's feature on the LuckyMe collective online. If you fancy a boogie to something refreshingly different, get your ass down to Ego to experience the admirable talents of the various artists on show. [Karen Taggart]
