The Hacker (live), Jerome D @ Access, Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh, July 7

This one is going to be 'le tits'.

The Hacker returns to Edinburgh for an exclusive live PA, showcasing new material and classics from his back catalogue - expect some of the highlights from 'Reves Mecaniques' such as Flesh & Bone, and (if we are lucky) some older tracks as well. The French techno ambassador likes to use old studio kit alongside more modern production methods, so for bedroom producers this should be a great chance to ogle some of his machines, as well as enjoying some pounding beats and dark electro melodies. Who better to host the return of the Hacker than the much-missed Access, returning to Cabaret Voltaire for this one-off date, and joined by the Hacker's labelmate Jerome D, of Goodlife Records. Pyz (Split/Access) will also grace the decks in the main room with his characteristic blend of tough electro and techno, while Room 2 is hosted by the ever-inventive Dropout DJs. The chance to catch the Hacker live is a rare one, not to be missed, and considering the demise of many of Edinburgh's best techno nights, the 'Cab is sure to be busy - so book your tickets early, Francophiles, this one is going to be 'le tits'.
