This is one half of the oh-so-very-few Brit acts that can compete with the bombast of the European and Parisian-spearheaded house sound

Having already played host to his party partner Sinden, it was only a matter of time before the How's Your Party crowd got round to getting us a set by the other half of London's tastiest house duo, Switch (aka Soild Groove). If you don't know the names you'll know the sounds of their chunky ghetto-bass rhythms and chopping drums kicks. Switch's A Bit Patchy, with its Morricone-esque Incredible Bongo Band sample and jacking wobble bass, is a 'that tune' number from a few years back, and his free Mixmag drop last year was easily an annual best for the magazine. This is one half of the oh-so-very-few Brit acts that can compete with the bombast of the European and Parisian-spearheaded maxed-out house sound. How's Your Party? Well, let's be honest about it, it won't be as good as this. [Jack McFarlane]
