Swayzak @ Bleep, Stereo, Glasgow, 5 Jul

Article by Colin Chapman | 18 Jun 2008

With not one but two parties on the same Saturday, Bleep offers a veritable smorgasbord of live and DJ talent this month. The newest addition to Glasgow underground clubbing hosts a live performance from long-serving electronic artists Swayzak, at Stereo. Releasing their debut album Snowboarding In Argentina to much critical acclaim a decade ago, the pair initially ploughed a dub-tech-house furrow and have come to embrace vocals with the progression of their career - last year’s Some Other Country featured the singing talents of Richard David and Berlin producer/DJ, Cassy. One half of the recording duo, Glasgow-born James Taylor, will be showcasing a portion of their impressive recording career (six albums, two DJ compilations and multiple singles), ably supported by Tom Churchill and Murray McLeod. Earlier that day, the two-tiered garden of The Courtyard will be taken over for the first of three, free Bleep – By Day events featuring a bbq and accompanying beats from local producer Droido playing live, with Jason Brunton, Tom Churchill and Murray McLeod.

Bleep @ Stereo, 11pm - 3am £10
