Siren Launch Night, The Hive, Edinburgh, 16 Aug

Come and join the party

Article by Karen Taggart | 09 Aug 2007
August sees the launch of a brand-spanking new weekly club night, Siren: with a music policy focused on playing underground tunes, taking influences from electro, electro house, breaks and techno, this promises to be a good 'un. Each week a different DJ will play the headline slot supported by residents and co-promoters Al Majik (Az-Tech) and Chubby Cox (One Toke). Every week there will be loads of freebies ranging from mix CDs to face painting, combined with drink promos and free entry all night. Organisers are also offering free memberships for the first few events, with the aim of giving people the chance to see top quality Edinburgh DJs without having to pay an extortionate entry fee. The launch night will feature two of Edinburgh's most bantertastic DJs, Chef De Partie (Red Star Institute) and Weak Hunt (Sequential), so come and join the party. [Karen Taggart]
Every Thursday, 11pm-3am, £0.
