Two years of constant performing have left the bean-headed island dweller with a host of admirers in the upper echelons of the house and electro fraternity

It seems the old adage 'One good turn deserves another' is about to come true for the volunteers of ProjectScotland. As a reward for their hard work throughout the year, their bosses are throwing a massive party at the end of the month in Glasgow's ABC. The three tiered event will consist of an award ceremony and a battle of the bands, culminating in a free concert with top Scottish talent headlining.

Voltage, as the event is to be called, is the latest in a number of musical events ProjectScotland has been involved with. With it members all being in the 16-25 age group, Chief Executive Kate Mavor believes this is a sure fire way of spreading the word about her initiative. The 1,200 capacity is sure to be jammed to the gills as the team have secured two of Scotland's most exciting artists around.

70's loving pop funksters El Presidente have been riding on the crest of the wave generated by their debut release Rocket for the last year and a bit now. With their eponymous debut album they have blended an infectious mix of glam rock, funk and disco into twelve indie pop nuggets which are sure to set the tone for the night. Spectacularly named lead singer and founder Dante Gizzi, previously of G.U.N. fame, will bring his usual effortless cool and porn star dress sense to a home town crowd eager to welcome him home from the Summer Sonic festival in Japan.

Joining El Presidente is a Highland phenomenon who needs no introduction. Having emerged from the shadow of his outrageously successful debut to become a polished DJ as well as producer, Mylo adds this date to his punishing tour schedule. Two years of constant performing have left the bean-headed island dweller with a host of admirers in the upper echelons of the house and electro fraternity, most of whom played at his Skye festival recently. He is no longer the Glasgow fixture he was last year, so this is a great chance for fans to get re-aquainted, and for doubters to be impressed with his ever-improving technique.

Blending his own hits with the best electro-house around, expect a much more refined performance from this genial grafter and all round nice guy. Further details are available from the ProjectScotland website, including an as yet unnamed third act, so make sure and check for updates.
