A night of ska, reggae and dancehall beckons for Edinburgh clubbers to get down and dirty for a surefire skankfest following a performance by Jamaican legend, Max Romeo, at Studio 24. As a long term collaborator of Lee "Scratch" Perry, Romeo has lead a career spanning the highs and lows of reggae stardom and has featured samples in the Prodigy's Out of Space and Jay-Z's Lucifer. His rootsy sound, pop sensibilities and prominence as a political artist, most notably during the early 70s, have assured him a place in the reggae hall of fame. Heading the bill after 11pm are DJ Sil and Mikhael Plant from London's Supreme Radio for some more jams in the reggae and dancehall vein. [Robbie Thomson]
