What you need is a brand spanking, thrusting, new club to absorb your interest

Chances are that in February most have gone into club hibernation, resting in front of the TV for the necessary de-tox after breaking your new year's resolution three weeks in. But what you need is a brand spanking, thrusting, new club to absorb your interest. From the people behind Progression, Boomshaboom and Unlock the House, comes 'Love for the Music', a monthly club for 'jackin', funked up, dirty-ass global house to disco, soul and retro classics'.

Already a fine gamut of guests has been lined up for the coming months, including DJ Pierre, Switch, The Soul Avengerz and Richard Dinsdale. DJ Pierre is still to be confirmed, but chances are he could be in Edinburgh for the first time to showcase his debut album, 'The Afro Acid Project', a house offering that promises to combine elements of rock, electro, techno, disco, acid and garage. Expect diverse guests like these in the future.

Tunes for the launch night are being provided by the residents (amassed from twelve different clubs and musical specialities) and live percussion from Pepe Santamaria. Get down to Cabaret Voltaire, Blair Street on the 4th to help celebrate the birth of Edinburgh's newest house club. There's even a free drink for the first 100 punters - something to entice you from your house to theirs. [Alex Burden]
Doors open at 10.30pm (until 3am), tax will be £6 before 11pm and £8 after. http://www.thecabaretvoltaire.com
