Following on from their wildly impressive launch party last month, Guilty Pleasures of Mother Goose (GPMG) continue to ruffle Glasgow clubbers’ collective feathers with another so-solid booking and the promise of many a treat upon arrival.

Returning to Saint Judes’ Funktion One filled basement coop, GPMG will be showcasing the highly anticipated and hotly tipped talents of Amsterdam based sonic swervedriver Frank Haag. With releases received with ever widening open arms on Thema, Cesare vs Disorder’s Serialism imprint and an imminent outing on Get the Curse with Konrad Black on remix duties, Haag looks set to make a significant splash this year with his own brand of darkly hypnotic 4/4 grooves. Funk infused overtones find harmony between the intricate cinematic sensibilities and the abstract sonic zigzags which pepper Haag's sound, held together with an intricate framework of bass bound dancefloor sensitivity.

As if it’s not enough to play host to the UK debut of the young producer’s new live performance GMPG also have a two hour DJ set from Haag lined up so leave room for dessert.

Saint Judes, Sat 14 Apr 11pm-3am, £7 advance from The Saint, Arches Box Office & Resident Advisor/ £10 OTD http://www.saintjudes.com
