Numbers – Powell, Pangaea & Spencer @ Sub Club, 1 July

Sub Club is back and flaunting its reinvigorated fit-out with a Friday night party that sees Spencer (Numbers) and Hessle Audio’s Pangaea on warm up duties, before Oscar Powell takes the decks for a live show of inventive, hard-hitting dance music.

The London-based producer and Diagonal label runner imbues techno with post-punk influences and can be counted on to dish up a hefty serve of experimental electronic music ripe for dancing to.

Your monthly dose of disco returns this Saturday when DJ Billy Woods spins up a mix of lovingly curated boogie tunes and obscure dance gems. When disco fever takes hold, the whole of Glasgow gets on board – so make sure you get down to The Berkeley Suite early.

Before staking your place in the entry queue we recommend grabbing a drink at next door drinking-hole Chinaski's, where Glaswegian DJ regular Craig Moog will be serving up some pre-party tunes from 9pm.

Incept Summer Special with Nicole Moudaber, Dense & Pika and Theo Kottis @ SWG3, 2 July

The weekend weather forecast may look decidely unfriendly, but that won't  A mammoth 11-hour Summer Special event at SWG3 sees British duo Dense & Pika and Edinburgh’s Theo Kottis take day duties on the terrace, while Fraser Stuart and Nick McPheat provide a solid foundation for evening headliner Nicole Moudaber.

Described in DJ Mag by friend and mentor Carl Cox as “the most underrated DJ” back in 2009, the Lebanese-Nigerian DJ and producer Moudaber has now well and truly shed the newcomer tag. Tickets are down to final release – be quick if you want to experience this one!

With its rooftop terrace proving an excellent vantage point for observing last year’s T In The Park frivolity, returning party hub The Tennent’s Arms has just announced its lineup for this year’s festival.

A host of DJs handpicked by renowned taste makers Sub Club will be spinning up a storm across the weekend, lead by UK dance figurehead Greg Wilson, the enigmatic Marquis Hawkes and disco champions Horse Meat Disco. In addition, the likes of Harri, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Spencer, Hammer, Sensu, Telford, i AM, Rebecca Vasmant, Sunday Circus, and Big Foot's Tea Party ensure that it will be a groove-heavy affair, whatever the weather.
