In the words of the man himself, we're all of ""the MTV generation of kids with short attention spans""

Tipped by Q Magazine as 'One of The Top 10 DJ's You Must See Before You Die', DJ Yoda presents a brand new instalment of his unique audio/visual extravaganza known as 'Yoda Goes To The Movies', at the newly refurbished club space at the GUU on Wednesday 12th April. London's DJ Yoda (Duncan Beiny) takes cut and paste to its ultimate and most amusing extreme by using the latest DVD mixing technology to create a crazy collage of film and visuals, projected onto a massive screen whilst he spins vinyl. There promises to be a large dose of hip-hop mixed up with everything from underground rap to classic 80s pop, TV themes to nursery rhymes, country, soul, reggae, drum'n'bass and whatever else Yoda throws into the mix. In the words of the man himself, we're all of "the MTV generation of kids with short attention spans", and his unique style is the ultimate post-modern way of combining the funniest moments from movies, music, computer games and radio. When Yoda's shamelessly immature sense of humour is injected there are often hilarious consequences: fans of any genre are sure to be entertained and impressed with Yoda's latest venture, supported by local talent Furious Breaks (Funkin' GoNuts) and Boom Monk Ben (Mixed Bizness). They will be providing a soundtrack of beats, breaks and party tunes to keep the crowd going before and after the main show. [Karen Taggart]
