Anyone for Tenniswood? 'The Other Lone Swordsman', Keith Tenniswood carves up the Arches on the 29th under his Radioactive Man moniker, and with rumours abounding that Weatherall's due at the Subby in December, this looks like a chance to catch both the Rotten golfers in the space of a few weeks. Yup, Slam are bidding 2006 a fond farewell with one last mad night of Pressure: down-house Luciano collaborator Quenum does soulful chilled business, Steve Bug rocks the decks, plus M_nus doyen, the first-lady of minimal techno and Richie Hawtin's tea-maker, Magda, are confirmed. Scene veteran Derrick May, who needs very little introduction, will be keeping the party going until 4am. The man is techno personified, and all of the evening's acts owe some part of their career to his influence and for basically inventing the genre with Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins. Check out the audio on his website for a little blast to get you in the mood - it'll keep you dancing until 2008. [Liam Arnold & Alex Burden]
