Yussef Kamaal afterparty @ Band on the Wall, 24 Mar 

Hotly tipped new Gilles Peterson signees Yussef Kamaal party on down after their gig at Band on the Wall, with band member and DJ Henry Wu on the decks, plus Manchester's own Irfan Rainy. Expect beats referencing Kamaal's hybrid sound, taking in hip-hop, broken beat, blues and soul. From 11pm, £6 or free with gig ticket.

Rhythm Section x Ruf Kutz presents Andrew Ashong & more @ Hidden, 24 Mar 

A two-room collab between Rhythm Section & Ruf Kutz, this Friday brings Theo Parrish collaborator Andrew Ashong, Canadian breakthrough artist Jayda G and the Antinote label's Zaltan to Hidden, plus a who's-who of RS and RK DJs in support. Hosts Bradley Zero and Ruf Dug will be around and about, as well as Anu, Kickin' Pigeon and Z Lovecraft. "We all know each other, we all like each other and we just wanna get together in the best club in Manchester and have a sick party." Damn straight. From 10pm, £12 

Lobster Theremin @ Versions, 24 Mar 

Jimmy Asquith's cult label Lobster Theremin brings a talent showcase to the Versions basement, with nthng, Asquith himself and No Moon on the roster. From 11pm, £5

Below the Surface 3rd birthday w/ Hunee, Gerd Janson & more @ Hidden, 25 Mar 

It's a big price but boy, is it a big line-up. For Below the Surface's third party of their spring season (but it's only been spring for four days, lads!) and their third birthday, they've gone all out and invited skilled selector Hunee, Running Back boss Gerd Janson, Parisian maestro and vinyl connoisseur Jeremy Underground and the Dekmantel Soundsystem duo. Unbelievably, you heard right. From 10pm, £25/£30

Club C.I.T.S. #2: Endgame + LOFT @ Texture, 7 Apr 

A new bimonthly club night from the brains behind two of Manchester's most progressive outfits, Annex Agency and Gesamtkunstwerk, Club C.I.T.S. aims to push the boundaries of club music. They're programming some fantastic double bills of artists operating at the thrilling fringes of the dancefloor, and their next pairing brings together Endgame, whose layered sound emerges from the cold ashes of grime, and the hallucinogenic LOFT, the latest artist to join the Astral Plane Recordings family. From 10pm, £7
