Don't-miss parties this week:

Fri 26 Aug

Audio Chronicles
The Audio Chronicles family return to their regular haunt and their beloved UREI mixer for an evening joining the dots between all things groove/jazz/funk/disco and house. A good way to start the bank holiday weekend – especially as, once they wind up at 212, they'll be moving over to Wire for a party 'til 5am with selectors from Brudenell Groove and Glug Glug (that bit's £3 on the door). The 212, 8pm, free

Sun 28 Aug

The Garden Party part 3
with Dusky, Alan Fitzpatrick, Denis Sulta & more
It's finally time for The Garden Party! Leeds' homegrown festival returns to its original stomping ground at The Faversham for one last blowout of the summer, with house duo Dusky headlining. They're joined by Drumcode records' Alan Fitzpatrick and Glasgow's Denis Sulta, Grainger and Matt Long. The Fav winds down at 11pm, but the party moves to Wire with special guests and residents (10pm-4am, around a fiver). The Faversham, 12pm (afterparty at Wire, 10pm), £25

Mint Festival warm-up terrace party
Taking over Mint's terrace and three indoor rooms, it's quite the warm-up for Mint Festival, what with Carl Craig headlining. Expect Funktion-One sound, late opening (6am) and a preview of what to expect at the festival proper (24 Sep at The Tetley). Mint Warehouse, 3pm, £15
