The 2005 Technics/DMC World Team Champions look set to mash up Glasgow

Article by Karen Taggart | 15 Feb 2006
C2C made history last year by winning the Technics/DMC World Champions title for the third year in a row, joining the ranks of the legendary Q-Bert and Mix Master Mike. Now they are due to take their four-man, five-deck show to Glasgow on Feb 25 as part of their first ever UK tour (supported by DJs Furious Breaks and ILL Technique).

Past winners include DJ Noise in 1996 and DJ A-Trak in 1997, before C2C stole the crown in 2003. C2C, aka Coup 2 Cross, are a French collective created in 1998 by four DJs (20syl, Atom, Greem and Pfel) who are renowned for their incredibly funky, highly musical routines. They work the decks like musical instruments, using original sounds and techniques to produce their unique sound, often putting their own interpretation on classic tunes to really excite the crowd.

Having already toured France with fellow acts such as The Scratch Perverts and DJ Vadim, this show promises to be an unmissable event. The 2005 Technics/DMC World Team Champions look set to mash up Glasgow, scratching their way through all genres of hip-hop, electro, funk and breaks, ensuring the dancefloor is always full, providing a treat for any listener.
