Andy Blake, Wrong Island, Nice & Sleazy's, Glasgow, 9 Feb

Wrong Island have their first ever guest this month, and they've managed to land Andy Blake, top man at Dissident Records. Dissident deserve some acclaim and have a good few records lined up for 2008. Platters from SCS and Gatto Frito are coming soon, and Truffle Club - proper dance music straight outta Glasgow - will be releasing a record with them in a couple of weeks. Dissident have been lauded by loads of folks all over the world, including Optimo's JD Twitch, getting their artists on his upcoming Resident Advisor mix. Blake is not only a label boss, however. He's also been behind acts like Invincible Scum, SCS and Control Voltage. Clearly the man knows his music. He'll be sharing that knowledge on Sauchiehall street this month. [James Blake]
