A Right Royal Rumpus, Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh, 23 Nov

Get down there and show some support, and dig deep into those pockets to raise money for a deserving cause

A Right Royal Rumpus is a fundraising club night in aid of Edinburgh's Breast Cancer Institute. A previous event in January raised a staggering £2300, and with a bigger and better event this month, organisers hope to smash that total. The night will feature a four-way clash of musical royalty – with princess Kylie taking on her majesty Madonna, while the king of pop Michael Jackson will be squaring up to the one and only Prince. In addition to a soundtrack by these superstars, Kaupuss, Jon Pleased and Miss Christina are lined up for DJ sets, while room two will feature Calverto hosting one of his manic karaoke sessions. Harry Ainsworth (Snatch) will compere the event, with special appearances from the royal stars themselves (or will it simply be a couple of drag queens and a pair of uncanny impersonators? You'll have to turn up on the night to find out for yourself!). With prizes for the best dressed, goodie bags, makeovers, plus a fashion show from the Love Kylie lingerie range and a holiday to be won, this night looks set to be full of fun and excitement. Get down there and show some support, and dig deep into those pockets to raise money for a deserving cause. [Karen Taggart]
