DJ Chart - Dan Traffik (Traffik)

Feature by Dan Traffik | 17 Mar 2006
1. Phuture - Acid Tracks (Soul Jazz)
Quality old school re–release as part of the Soul Jazz acid house compilation. This track is guaranteed to make you jack the nearest speaker.
2. Venom 18 - Mystery Organisation (Strange Life Records)
Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt delivers arguably one of his best tracks to date under the guise of one of his many monikers. Released on another label with ties to giant Dutch based label Bunker Records.
3. Orgue Electronique - Here I Come (Clone)
Close friend and sometimes collaborate of Legowelt, Orgue Electronique gives us a quality electro house track originally on Cr'me Organisation and recently on the acclaimed Clone Records compilation, Box Jams.
4. Jackson And His Computer Band - Utopia (Warp)
In my opinion, one of Warp Records' best signings in recent years. His album Smash is one of my favourites and I hope to hear more electronic music of this quality from him in the future.
5. MC Unknown - Untitled (Logistic Records)
Another super bit of acid house. Unfortunately this track is untitled so no particular individual gets the praise here, none the less this one's a belter.
6. Luke Eargoogle - Protecting The Krown (Kammando 6)
100% electro, the way we like it. This track has a huge electro break that will burst your ears. Part of the excellent Dark Connections EP released in 2003 on German label Kommando 6.
7. Bitstream - Orange Room (Modern Love)
9 minutes and 22 seconds of very dirty IDM electro of the highest quality from Dave & Steve Conner. Part of the Domestic Economy 7 album release on a Boomkat sponsored label.
8. Claro Intelecto – Peace of Mind (Ai Records)
Mark Stewart delivers definitely one of my favourite electro tracks of all time.
9. Rutherford – Closure (Kondi)
Part of the Cessna EP, this is yet another dirty electro record from Sweden.
10. Armando – Untitled (White Label)
This cheeky number is part of a super limited EP called Futurejak. Originally released 20 years ago in the days of the Chicago warehouse parties it still continues to be a linchpin in my sets today.
