DJ Chart: Andrew Thomson (Huntleys & Palmers Audio Club)

After two sweet years, our love affair with Huntleys and Palmers Audio Club is still going strong. Extended honeymoon anyone?

Jackson Jones - I Feel Good, Put Your Pants On (Pilooski Edit) [Dirty]

Where it all began! I was first introduced to Pilooski via this track after hearing this about 3 years ago. Months later he played the first H&P party in the Research Club. Slo-mo disco funk.

Zomby - Mu5h [Hyperdub]

There's a whole host of Zomby tracks I could have chosen where melody reigns throughout each. Comparable to James Holden circa 2004, he stands head and shoulders above his contemporaries and has created an instantly recognisable signature sound.

Binary Chaffinch - False Energy [Dissident]

Easily the best label over the past two years. I think this track serves as a good representation of what to expect – something different.

Runaway - Alberg 30 [Chinatown]

I'm a big fan of Runaway, but this is like nothing else I've heard from them. I'm surprised this has slipped under many people's radar – maybe down to it being bandied about as 'dub disco' which sounds shite on paper. Google it.

Petar Dundov - Oasis (Gavin Russom Remix) [Music Man]

A big scary monster of a track. 15 minutes of mesmerising analogue acid goodness. I heart Gavin Russom.

Francisco - Esplanade '97 [Nature]

Italo with a swagger. I've fond memories of a room full of people yelling along word for word when Francisco played this at the Research Club last year.

Guido - Way U Make Me Feel [Punch Drunk]

Tune of the year? Most likely. Like all great innovative music, it's hard to pigeonhole - "UK Funky" doesn't do it justice.

It's A Fine Line - Woman [History Clock]

Heralding Ivan Smagghe's return to form, this re-working of an obscure disco track is a perfect way to close the night.
