Comic Book Guy: Once more with feeling!...Again!

Anything you can do, I can do better, I can do anything better than you, no you can’t, yes I can, no you….well you get the point. Never to be outdone by their rivals over at Marvel, who have set about bringing Spider-Man to Broadway, DC have also announced that they too will be taking their characters to the stage. Next summer you will be able to see the Dark Knight himself in action thanks to a multi million pound production of Batman Live. And this time not just on Broadway, but right here in the UK.

As with Marvel’s Spider-Man, this is a DC Comics first as they strive to fill the last bastion of comic book diversification. This all new live show will be based around Gotham City, including the known favourite places of Wayne Manor, the Batcave and the infamous Arkham Asylum. The Caped Crusader shall not be alone in the shadows of the stage, but shall be accompanied by a host of classic villains including The Joker, The Riddler, Penguin, Harley Quinn and the leather clad Catwoman to name a few.

So as we wait for the respective movies of the new Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises it remains to be seen just who will put on the most impressive stage filling spectacular, Marvel or DC?

Batman Live will be on at Glasgow SECC from the 3 to 7 August 2011, book your ticket to Gotham City now.
