Winter is Coming... to Glasgow. Well it already has, as the city welcomes a huge Game of Thrones tapestry, which took over 5,000 hours to produce

The huge tapestry depicts the battle at Hardhome from season three of the HBO series. The embroidery measures five metres long and four metres tall, with one of the show's White Walker at the forefront. The piece was commissioned by the show's producers and was produced by The Embroiderers' Guild after HBO requested a special artwork to accompany the DVD release of GoT's fifth series back in 2016.

The piece, which took 140 volunteers over 5,000 hours to produce, will be on display at Glasgow's Caledonian University's Saltire Centre until February 2019. The tapestry can be viewed by university staff, students and members of the public until early next year, so GoT down there!
