Falkirk Council is looking for a music forum co-ordinator to map music provision, develop communication methods and links. The post holder will responsible for research of music opportunities for 0 – 25 year olds in the Falkirk Council area and consulting with the local community and businesses on the most suitable format for a music forum.
This is a freelance post subject to a successful enhanced Disclosure Scotland check.

The 8½ Foundation is a new charity being set up to make Scottish children excited about world cinema. There are three posts essential to the running of this unique organisation:
Project Manager (full time)
£20,000 pa. Two-year contract
Located in Edinburgh or Nairn
The Project Manager must be enthusiastic about children and be knowledgeable about the film industry and Scotland. The successful person will be highly organized, hard working, flexible and self-motivated. And they should understand the magic of cinema.
The successful applicant must be able to start no later than 31 May 2010.
Industry Producer (part time)
Two months per year for 2 years @ £2.5K per month.
The successful candidate will be an experienced film industry professional with a knowledge of world cinema who will negotiate DVD wholesale purchase deals from distributors and producers. The most intensive period of work will be during the first six months.
The project’s bases are Edinburgh and Nairn but the Producer could, in theory, work anywhere.
The start date should be no later than 30 April 2010.
Administrative Assistant (part time)
2 days per week for 20 weeks in year one and 10 weeks in year two @ £50 per day.
Located in Edinburgh or Nairn.
The Administrative Assistant must be enthusiastic, hard working, flexible and self-motivated, but above all highly organized. Their work will support the Project Manager.
The successful applicant must be able to start no later than 31 May 2010.

The Skinny are recruiting writers for the Clubs section of the magazine and website. Writers are needed across the country and duties range from reviewing the latest club record releases and club nights, to writing previews of upcoming events or features showcasing upcoming artists. Applicants will be expected to participate on a regular basis, contributing ideas for features, writing previews and suggesting nights to be included in the monthly Clubbing Highlights column. Applicants are required to have either a good overall knowledge of electronic music and specialist knowledge of sub-genres.

The Skinny are also recruiting writers for the Comedy section of the magazine and website. Comedy-savvy writers are needed across the country - particularly in Glasgow and outwith the central belt - for previews, interviews, features and reviews.
If you currently perform comedy then we'd love to hear from you but unfortunately can't use you for review writing outside of festival periods.
