If you’ve ever been hungover in Manchester, there’s a very good chance you’ve eaten at The Koffee Pot. Known for their liver-rejuvenating, shame-vanishing, slap-up breakfasts, this is a proper caff with just the right amount of Northern Quarter cool.

The greasy spoon recently had to move from its Stevenson Square home to a new, bigger location on Oldham Street, but they brought the red leather booth chairing and tables with them. They’ve kept the mismatched wall art and graffiti as well, and since the move they’ve changed their menu a bit. Their unrivalled full English breakfasts remain, but now they’re joined by ‘posh sarnies’ and American inspired specials.

It’s a Mancunian institution, and anyone will tell you that it’s a favourite hangout of many big names on the Manchester music scene. Their expansion also means they have room for an exhibition space now, showcasing local upcoming artistic talent for a week at a time.

The Koffee Pot was a winner in the Best Cafe category in the The Skinny Food and Drink Survey 2017. Check out the other winners as voted for by The Skinny readers here.
