An initial glimpse of this vintage and second-hand clothes store might make you want to re-consider a visit, and you wouldn’t be the first – the slightly dilapidated green panelling and well-worn window frames look like they’d have a hard time standing up to a stiff breeze, let alone the kind of pummelling Glasgow is regularly subjected to.

Rest assured though, it’s as structurally sound as anywhere else you’d care to lay your head, and offers its clientele an excellent range, with pieces dated from across the 1980s, all the way back to the Victorian era. It also boasts an excellent accessories range with a particular emphasis on the glitz and glamour of the 20s – never again will you have to panic when that one friend of yours thinks ‘Oh my god! You know what would be super fun?! A Great-Gatsby themed party!’ – we’ve all been there right? It’s not all cocktails and jazz dancing, though – things to watch out for include the particularly vintage pieces which you’ll never get the mouldy smell out of, and the infamously impatient staff who, unless you’ve got something very interesting to sell them (and they do buy), do not want you hoovering up their valuable time.
