This place is fairly new on the Manchester dining scene but the menu is as classic as ever. Beef and Pudding pretty much does what it says on the tin, and more, serving up hearty pub classics such as puddings, pies and burgers, but with a slightly more upmarket twist. With a nod to the Peterloo Massacre — the name is a reference to a famed caricature of the battle — Beef and Pudding opened in 2014, showing off a stylish rustic interior and an impressive menu. The clue is in the name that this place is mostly meat focused — notable dishes include the monstrous, Manchester inspired ‘Beef’ham Tower’ burger, and a whole beef joint to share (if you happen to have £120 between you) — but they offer a number of Italian inspired vegetarian dishes too. There’s also an express menu if you’re in a hurry, and on Thursdays they offer a set Pudding Love menu. If you visit on a Friday it’s likely you’ll get to hear some local live music while you eat.
