The Climbing Academy

An innocuous looking industrial area of Kinning Park is home to The Climbing Academy, Glasgow’s only dedicated bouldering centre. For the uninitiated, bouldering is climbing, but without ropes, at lower heights, and with plenty of crash mats. Formerly the News International printing works, the space has been transformed into a climber’s paradise, with a plethora (there’s over 1100 square metres of climbing space here!) of differently graded problems, suitable for everyone from total beginners to Tarzan.

TCA also has a café, serving up smoothies and cakes, fitness classes, and a shop for all your bouldering needs. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand if you have any questions, need advice, or are, y'know, stuck at the top of a wall.
