Fopp

It's really quite a shame that music and media shop Fopp is shrinking the way that it is; this Union Street branch is one of only eight stores left in the UK. 

They're among among some of the best shops for buying cheap music, films and books. Luckily Glasgow is blessed enough to have two of the eight stores. Hurrah!

Union Street Fopp stocks a massive selections of films and TV boxsets, with an extensive range of world cinema titles. They house a wealth of CDs and a small collection of vinyl, alongside a concise range of classic novels and modern favourites, all priced reasonably cheaply.

They also avoid the nonsense of the 99p price tag - a relief indeed to those who're sick of the sight of coppers rolling around the bottom of their bag. In addition to music, Fopp also offer music merchandise like mugs, t-shirts, posters and headphones.

In short, it is immensely hard to leave Fopp without buying something.
