JP's bills itself as "Aberdeen's best student pre-club bar" and going by the reliably exuberant look of its events programme, it's a worthily-won title. Regular theme nights mix up playlists boasting soul, disco, indie and everything in between, which, coupled with a moreishly meaty grill menu, shows just why JP's is so beloved in the Deen that it even sells a rather impressive range of merchandise.
