The Lazy Duck Hostel

If even the mention of a hostel drives a fear of dank bedsheets, awkward sleeping arrangements and grumpy shower queues into your heart, let The Lazy Duck flap such prejudices away. Set in the grounds of the owners' home, it's an idyllic log cabin of the kind usually seen only on postcards, nestling between dense forest on one side and rolling countryside on the other. With sleeping space for only eight, it's an ideal weekend-hire with friends and the owners cut no corners in providing a genuinely helpful and extremely friendly welcome.
In case this doesn't sound like enough to have melted your preconceptions, there's also an outdoor sauna. And a duck pond. Certainly not your average example of hostel-life, and absolutely worth a visit if you're in the region - or even if you're not.
