Firewater

Bang in the middle of Glasgow’s infamous Sauchiehall street, Firewater is a surprisingly large, underground bar meets club that peddles promises of ‘real music and hard liquor’. Hard liquor is certainly available, alongside beer and affordable cocktail pitchers and the venue does indeed occasionally host live music. The bar itself enjoyed a chic refurb not too long ago, complementing the sleek, dark, candle lit decor. Attracting a very mixed crowd, the bar usually has an excitable, bustling atmosphere matched only in volume by a loud, one size fits all indie/rock playlist, potentially useful for appeasing groups of friends with wildly varying music tastes.
