Brel

Brel is one of the better bars on Ashton Lane, maintaining some individuality but playing it safe with its rustic furniture and familiar menu options. Gigs in the relatively small conservatory are intimate and charming in a you-can-only-see-the-musician-if-you're-down't-the-front kinda way. They host a regular selection of folky players and touring acts, alongside their ever reliable Brel Sessions night, a drop-in acoustic indie-folk session with Laura Wilkie (of Rachel Sermanni) and Sarah Hayes (of Admiral Fallow).
