SxSW 2014: Prides live session – 'The Seeds You Sow'

Video | 01 May 2014

On our recent trip to SxSW, we met up with Glasgow-based synth-pop trio Prides on a porch in Austin, and recorded a live version of their track The Seeds You Sow. Formed from the ashes of Drive-By Argument and Midnight Lion by Stewart Brock (piano, lead vocals), Callum Wiseman (guitar, piano, vocals) and Lewis Gardner (drums), the band have released a few select singles and tracks, with their debut EP proper, Messiah, dropping at the end of last month.

Already gaining a loyal following with their mix of infectious hooks, cascading pianos and synths and complex, understated rhythms, Prides look set to follow the likes of CHVRCHES and Young Fathers into wider awareness following their blistering set at the Showcasing Scotland event at this year's SxSW.
