The Manna House
The Manna House is a unique and rare treat to be found on Easter Road. This excellent bakery offers some of the tastiest breads in town: from sun dried tomato to walnut bread and the freshest focaccia, the choice is large and mouth watering.
The most eye catching element of The Manna House is their delicious and elegantly decorated range of individual desserts. The variety is mesmerising, from chocolate cheesecakes to raspberry mousses with fruit sophisticatedly arranged on the top and choux buns with layers of fruit – all just £2.
The lunches are well priced with soup starting from £1.80 and wraps and sandwiches kicking off at £3. The ingredients are fresh and flavoursome and the house quinoa salad is refreshing, unusual and tasty.
If this place was on George Street they would be charging triple. The Manna House's unpretentious decor, friendly staff and pure good quality food make this a real gem of a place. The only problem is there are not enough tables for all of the people clambering in.
