Brass Monkey
One of the best bars in Edinburgh and a local secret, Brass Monkey offers all manner of delights. From Havana and Coke from 2.55, monkey art, iconic posters and an intimate back room - what more could you want? A room made of mattresses you say... Well the Brass Monkey even has that too.
The larger back room is a mound of mattresses and cushions with little tables that you can rest your pint perfectly in (not on, as then it would spill!) from your lying down lounging position. There are movies on the big screen everyday at 3pm too, for those lucky people who don't have to work for a living... students. Or check them out at the weekend.
Soups and sandwiches are on offer, with yummy muffins if you get the munchies too.
A gem of a place, the bar gets rammed as it's not very big. But Brass Monkey is great for a slow afternoon pint or a fun gathering before a night out. Please don't tell too many folk; we don't want everyone to know.

Add a comment »local secret? it's the worst kept secret in Edinburgh then, and "from Havana and coke from 2.55"? you definitely have a superfluous 'from' in there... Aside from the fact that much of this appears to have been copy & pasted from elsewhere, can't help but feel that standards of your reviews are slipping.
