Golden Silvers - True Romance Single Review

Is it possible for Golden Silvers to have anymore of an Eighties fixation? With a name like that, it's no surprise to hear disco basslines and New Romantic synths delivered with a coy Franz-esque knowing nod and a polite voiceover vocal reminiscent of Paul Simon. This is distinctly retro territory, glitzy yet droll, as if everyone should be in on the joke, and those of the fairer sex should be dancing unreservedly. True Romance doesn't make for much else, but do take a listen to the Micachu remix on their MySpace page to hear how a song can be realised in more creative hands.
