Chemikal Underground's sprawling East End Social project, which sees the label curating a series of gigs and events throughout Glasgow from April until August, have added an exciting selection of new names to their lineup, including Lost Map boss The Pictish Trail, playing a showcase alongside label-mates Tuff Love and Monoganon on 25 May at Bowler's Bar in Bridgeton.

On the same date, the Optimo-curated strand of the festival will take to the Barrowland Ballroom, with JD Twitch and JG Wilkes joined by experimental dancefloor adventurers Golden Teacher, Norwegian house supremo Todd Terje, Hessle Audio founder Ben UFO, and DFA / Beats In Space mainstay Tim Sweeney

On 5 and 6 August, indie supergroup The New Mendicants play Bowler's Bar – the band cosists of Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub), Joe Pernice (Pernice Brothers / The Scud Mountain Boys), and Mike Belisky (The Sadies).
