Following on from a 2014 collaboration with illustrator David Shrigley, one time Arab Strapper Malcolm Middleton has revealed the first solo LP under his own name since Waxing Gibbous.

Titled Summer of '13, the ten song set is due for release on 27 May via relaunched indie label Nude Records (Suede, The Fall), featuring production work from Glasgow electronic pop prodigy Miaoux Miaoux and guest apearances from De Rosa's Martin John Henry, First Aid Kit drummer Scott Simpson and Gordon Anderson (AKA Lone Pigeon of Beta Band/The Aliens).

Preceding the record is lead single You & I, which you can stream below. “This was one of the first songs that Miaoux Miaoux worked on," Middleton reveals. "He added the funky, bubbling bass and made it all more widescreen and driven. Gordon Anderson's advice to "sing from beneath your accent" was experimented with unsuccessfully here. Or maybe I was trying to sound like Gary McNuman? I don't know.”
