William Doyle, aka East India Youth, has revealed some of the influences behind his second LP CULTURE OF VOLUME in a blog post and playlist released on his website.

East India Youth released CULTURE OF VOLUME in April, and plays The Skinny stage at next month's Electric Fields festival at Drumlanrig Castle alongside Scottish Album of the Year nominees Happy Meals, Catholic Action, Birdhead, Vessels and headliner Blanck Mass.

Tracks from Bjork, Julia Holter and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds all feature on Doyle's playlist, with the producer stating that portions of track 'Manner of Words' "may have come from some early sketches of a song dating back to 2011 when I lived in Ruislip and listened to pretty much nothing but Nick Cave solidly for a few months." Listen to the full playlist in the player below.

CULTURE OF YOUTH is out now via XL; Electric Fields 2015 takes place on 29 Aug at Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfries & Galloway.
