Blanck Mass to headline The Skinny stage at Electric Fields

Feature by News Team | 28 Apr 2015

To kick off our 10th birthday celebrations, we’re taking the reins at one of the stages at this summer’s Electric Fields festival, with electronic producer Blanck Mass set to headline.

Celebrating a decade of our music coverage, the stage features three past cover stars from our Scottish and Northwest England editions. Blanck Mass – aka Benjamin John Power of Fuck Buttons – who graces our newly minted May issue is joined by Edinburgh krautrock disciples Birdhead, and Glasgow post-hardcore quartet United Fruit, fresh from their trip to the SxSW music festival in Austin, Texas.

Also on the bill are rising Glasgow outfit Catholic Action, Leeds-based post-rockers Vessels, Dundee trio Fat Goth and the UK spanning underground supergroup Outblinker, plus we’ll also be announcing some very special guests to the line-up in the weeks ahead.

Fife folk supremo King Creosote has also been confirmed as Electric Fields’ headliner, joining the previously-announced Golden Teacher, The Phantom Band, PAWS and Hector Bizerk for the festival’s second outing – the line-up so far can be found below.

Electric Fields 2015 takes place on 29 Aug at Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfries & Galloway.
