Last month, we told you about Aidan Moffat's ambitious new project, Where You're Meant To Be, a road movie which Moffat will be filming around Scotland during April and May. The tour will see Moffat visiting small, intimate venues for a series of gigs with leading lights from the world of Scottish indie and folk music, including James Graham of The Twilight Sad, Bdy_Prts' Jenny Reeve, and Stevie Jones, who play in Moffat's backing band, and guests such as Wounded Knee, 'bothy balladeers' Geordie Murison and Joe Aitken, and folk singer Sheila Stewart. Today, Moffat has unveiled a new track, Jock McGraw, in advance of the start of the tour.

Performances from the tour, as well as interviews with local musicians and people, will be compiled into a new documentary by filmmaker Paul Fegan (Pouters). During the tour, Moffat will be performing original compositions as well as re-workings of traditional Scottish folk songs. The performances, which are loosely based around traditional ceilidh gatherings, will feature poetry, performance and song. The project is described as a "folkloric pop voyage," paying homage to "some of the country's most resonant spaces – from Glasgow Barrowland to Faslane Peace Camp; from Edinburgh catacombs to Loch Ness." The tour is now sold out – see our original post for details. Listen to Moffat's new track below.
