Anna Meredith shares video for The Vapours

Scottish Album of the Year winner Anna Meredith has released a new video for latest single The Vapours.

The track is taken from Meredith's SAY Award-winning debut album Varmints, with the composer describing it as her "favourite" on the LP. Meredith says: "I think it’s one of the best things I’ve written. I just totally went for it and had such a good time writing this. I really pride myself on controlling my pacing and builds and the ‘delivering’ material and think I get it right here."

Meredith plays Liverpool Central Library on 29 Oct as part of Get Loud in Libraries, before a set at Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds (1 Nov) as part of this year's Beacons Metro festival

Watch the video for The Vapours in the player above – warning, the video contains flashing lights and images throughout. Director Ed Warren describes the clip as "captur[ing] the organised chaos of the song by filming each band member individually performing their parts... cutting between them as they come in and out of the song, throughout until the big finale."
