End of the Road adds Bill Callahan, Japandroids

Singer-songwriter Bill Callahan has been confirmed as the third headliner at End of the Road this summer, joining the previously-announced Father John Misty and Mac DeMarco. Quiet since his well-received Dream River opus in 2013 (and the following year's dub reinterpretation, Have Fun With God), the Texas-based musician first began recording under the name Smog in the early 90s, moving over time from a lo-fi aesthetic to his current brand of lyrical Americana.

A further 22 acts have also been added to the bill including Vancouver indie rockers Japandroids, who recently returned to action with new album Near to the Wild Heart of Life (their first in five years), shoegaze veterans Slowdive, following the recent release of their first new single in over two decades, and Australian psych-pop collective Pond, whose seventh album The Weather is due for release in May.

Also set to play are Katie Crutchfield's Waxahatchee project, as well as her sister Allison Crutchfield (joined by her new backing band The Fizz), plus "semi-fictional outsider ouija pop group" The Moonlandingz and the welcome return of Fuck Buttons' Benjamin John Power, aka Blanck Mass.
