Father John Misty tops End of the Road line-up
Mac DeMarco, Parquet Courts and The Jesus and Mary Chain also feature at the top of the bill
End of the Road has unveiled the first wave of acts to appear at Wiltshire's Larmer Tree Gardens this summer. Top of the bill at the festival's 12th edition is Father John Misty (aka former Fleet Foxes drummer Joshu Tillman), who recently announced the April release of his forthcoming third album Pure Comedy, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2015 offering I Love You, Honeybear.
In his only UK festival appearance of the summer, the much-adored psych-popster Mac DeMarco will also play the festival, alongside New York post-punkers Parquet Courts, prolific garage rock wunderkind Ty Segall and Glaswegian indie veterans The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Seattle indie rockers Band of Horses, alt country heroine Lucinda Williams, New Jersey janglers Real Estate and grammy-nominated Afro-blues duo Amadou & Mariam complete the headliners from this 65-strong batch of acts to be announced, while the likes of Alvvays, Deerhoof, Girl Band and Bill Ryder-Jones can also be found further down the bill. End of the Road takes place between 31 August-3 September 2017. Tickets are now on sale, priced £179 with no booking or transaction fees. End of the Road are also offering a deposit scheme, with an immediate payment of £45, with the balance to be paid by 15 June.
