Scot:Lands Hogmanay line-up announced

Miaoux Miaoux, Idlewild's Roddy Woomble and C Duncan will all feature at the Scot:Lands pop-up festival at Edinburgh's Hogmanay celebrations.

The New Year's Day festival features eleven venues across the capital's Old Town, with audiences sent on a randomly-selected route across the festival's stages.

Edinburgh spoken word duo Rally & Broad present the festival's Coorie-In:Land stage, while Glasgow label Chemikal Underground mark their 20th anniversary with their Chemikal:Land stage featuring Miaoux Miaoux, Emma Pollock and RM Hubbert.

The Lyrical:Land stage features performances from SAY Award-winner Kathryn Joseph, Michael Pedersen of Neu! Reekie!, Idlewild frontman Roddy Woomble and the Mercury-nominated C Duncan, and the Cine:Land festival promises to mark 70 years of the Edinburgh International Film Festival with a selection of Scottish short films shown on a "labyrinth of mini-cinemas". Elsewhere, Bird:Land presents a performance of Tumadh is Turas: Immersion & Journey by contemporary art duo Dalziel + Scullion, and Admiral Fallow feature on the Insider:Land stage programmed by the Insider Festival.

Scot:Lands takes place at venues across Edinburgh's Old Town on 1 January 2016; free tickets for Scot:Lands are available now via EventBrite.
