Providing the new location for multi-arts festival Hidden Door's 2015 outing, the old street lighting depot on Kings Stables Road sits right in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, just off the Grassmarket. Invisible to passers-by, this intriguing complex of buildings centres around a large overgrown courtyard and comprises of a quirky range of rooms, hangers and old workshop spaces. The site is bigger than the festival's 2014 venue location of Market Street Vaults, which hopefully means it'll make for the ideal location to showcase a select batch of Scotland’s up-and-coming creative talent across music, visual art, theatre and cinema. And ne'er fear, there's also food stalls and a duo of bars, including their own bespoke Barney's Beer brew, to keep your sustenance and hydration levels going through the eight-day programme of events.
